(Minneapolis, Minn.) The Mirandola Ensemble today announced a premiere date for its new concert: “Requiem: Texts for the Feast of All Souls”, taking place on Sunday, October 30, 2016 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Minneapolis. The concert will feature Cristobal Morales’s Missa pro defunctis a 5 and John Tavener’s Funeral Ikos in a new program by Artistic Director Nick Chalmers.

The concert will feature ensemble members Angela Grundstad (soprano), Nick Chalmers (tenor), Shahzore Shaw (tenor), Andrew Kane (baritone), and Matthew Culloton (bass).
The Mirandola Ensemble, established in 2011, is a Minneapolis-based professional choral ensemble dedicated to promoting the highest standards of choral music, the idea of choral music as ‘high art’ in the Western tradition, and the aesthetics of the Renaissance. The ensemble is a 501(c)(3) non-profit arts organization and the current Artists-in-Residence at Holy Family Catholic Church (St. Louis Park, Minn.).
