The Mirandola Ensemble announces 2017-2018 performance season


(Minneapolis, Minn.) The Mirandola Ensemble today announced dates and times for its 2017 – 2018 performance season. The season will include an appearance in the Twin Cities Early Music Festival, an album release concert for the ensemble’s forthcoming “Unquiet Thoughts” recording, new programs for the Advent and Lenten seasons, and more.


The 2017 – 2018 season includes:


Saturday, August 19, 2017 – 7:30 p.m.

“Love & Death” at the Twin Cities Early Music Festival


St. Mary’s Episcopal Church, 1895 Laurel Ave., St. Paul, MN 55104


Featuring the Madrigals of Renaissance masters Thomas Weelkes, Thomas Morley, and Orlando Lassus; the haunting Funeral Sentences of Thomas Tompkins; the lush harmonies of sacred works by Johann Schein and Heinrich Schutz; and the songs of John Dowland (featuring classical guitarist Ben Kunkel).
