The Mirandola Ensemble announces "Requiem" concert in Minneapolis


(Minneapolis, Minn.) The Mirandola Ensemble today announced a premiere date for its new concert: “Requiem”, taking place on Friday, November 10, 2017 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Minneapolis. The concert will feature Palestrina’s Missa Pro Defunctis and Morley’s stunning Funeral Sentences, as well as contemporary works of Matthew Culloton and John Tavener.

The concert will feature ensemble members Angela Grundstad (soprano), Nick Karageorgiu (alto), Nick Chalmers (tenor and Artistic Director), Andrew Kane (baritone), and Matthew Culloton (bass).


The Mirandola Ensemble, established in 2011, is a Minneapolis-based professional choral ensemble dedicated to promoting the highest standards of choral music, the idea of choral music as ‘high art’ in the Western tradition, and the aesthetics of the Renaissance. The ensemble is a 501(c)(3) non-profit arts organization and was recently announced as a 2017-2018 Class Notes Artist for Minnesota Public Radio.
